We can verify any fitness facility that is separate from your home or office. University gyms count, and so do yoga studios, swimming pools, tennis courts, martial arts studios, rock climbing gyms, outdoor tracks, or any standalone exercise facility.
If we don’t have your gym listed, simply add it the first time you check in there. Here’s a video showing how!

Yes! Thanks to our partnerships with RunKeeper and MapMyFitness, we can count GPS tracked outdoor workouts! Simply connect your RunKeeper or MapMyFitness account to GymPact via our app [ video ] or our website [ video ]. Then track your runs, walks and bike rides with the RunKeeper app, and all workouts with at least 30 minutes of activity above 2 miles/hour will count toward your Pact!
More info on RunKeeper is here.
It can take up to a few hours for RunKeeper and MapMyFitness workouts to show up in your activity log, although for most people it syncs within 5 minutes. If it takes longer than that, check for an email in case your RunKeeper workout did not meet our requirements.
You can now workout at work or home with GymPact Anywhere, which uses your iPhone’s accelerometer to count any active type of exercise.

Yes. We have over 40,000 gyms in our database, but if your gym or studio is not listed, you can simply add it via our app on your first check in at the gym. We’ll approve any valid fitness center, other than a home or office gym. Here’s a video showing how!

Your Pact is a weekly commitment running from Monday to Sunday. You can sign up for and change your Pact until Sunday night at midnight in your timezone. All Pacts start on Monday and run until the next Sunday at midnight. We then send out attendance emails by mid-week with your attendance and payments/rewards, and your Pact week starts again!
Rewards are based off the number of days committed and completed in your Pact. If you meet your Pact, you get a cash reward for each day committed, paid for by those who didn’t get to the gym! Rewards have generally been $0.30 to $0.50 per workout. Quick tip: Stakes are just for personal motivation and will not affect your weekly rewards.
Once you reach $10, you can withdraw your GymPact rewards via Paypal on the app like this [ Video]. Attendance emails & app notifications will be sent out mid-week telling you how much $ you’ve earned.
Our users make it on average to 92% of the days they commit, but if you do happen to miss a day, we will charge the credit card or PayPal we have on file for you according to your Pact amount and the number of days missed. In no other situation will you ever be charged.
To the GymPacters who made it to the gym! Every week, we will pay out cash rewards to those who met their Pact from the Stakes paid by people who didn’t quite make it. Rewards can be cashed out via Paypal. We think if you put real money on the line, you should get real rewards.
The goal of our program is to keep you motivated, fit and healthy, and we believe that taking occasional breaks is an important part of a healthy life. This video shows you how to schedule a break and how to cancel your break.
If you ever run into medical issues, just use our members-only contact form. Or submit an issue directly from the app in the "report an issue" section. You’ll be exempt from your Pact until you are better. We may ask for contact information from your doctor or employer to confirm that you are ill.
We're sorry to see you go, but if you want to delete your account, simply go to your app's Settings => Delete account. Please note that you cannot delete your account during an active Pact week. Your account will be deleted the following Monday. Once you delete your account your information will be removed from our system and you will no longer be able to access your rewards.
Warning: Deleting your app DOES NOT delete your account.
