Work at GymPact!

Help incentivize a healthier world

We built GymPact to make it easier for people everywhere to live healthy, active lives. Since launching in January 2012, we've received massive media attention and user uptake. But we're just getting started. And we need your help.

iOS Developer

Hone your iOS development skills at a fast-paced, mobile-first 15-person San Francisco startup that helps people commit to living healthier.

Founded by two Harvard behavioral economics students, Pact www.pactapp.com uses financial incentives in a consumer app to help people succeed at 90% of their exercise and healthy eating commitments.  Our users commit to live healthy, put their own cash on the line, and each week the Pact community members who hit their goals are paid rewards by the members who didn't.

As an iOS developer at Pact, you’ll be working to push out key features on the iOS app every week. We work on the cutting edge of iOS technology, including using the M7 chip to track ambient motion, iOS 7-optimized design, GPS algorithms, and photo technology.

Your role:

  • Develop new features on our iOS app, featured at Apple Tech Talks, alongside our experienced product team.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest iOS technologies.
  • Participate in experiment design, user testing, user flow design, and all other aspects of a complete process that takes a product from idea to release.
  • Track app reviews and communicate with Customer Experience (CX) teams to track down and fix bugs.

Your background:

  • Previous experience developing a medium to large project using iOS.
  • Fast at picking up new concepts and processes, and eager to learn.
  • Passionate about creating an awesome mobile product that makes people healthier.

Please send us a sample iOS project with sample code and your resume to jobs@pactapp.com.
